A diss song through and through “Woman Like Me” jumps toward the end of Adele’s relationship. It finds Adele chiding her ex for being complacent, lazy, and insecure, wasting the potential of their relationship.
Adele has shared that “Woman Like Me” is the only track she wrote when she felt rage following her divorce. She delivers the message clearly and calmly, less pissed off than completely over the situation.
Much like the rest of the album, the lyrics in “Woman Like Me” are not only directed at her ex but also herself as she learned these things for herself on this journey.
